Well …

I know. I kind of fell off the face of the planet—or more so, the face of the internet? There was a lot going on in my corner of the world. I won’t go into detail, but I will break it down to this: my husband (been married for a little over a year now) came home from his deployment, we got a new four-legged addition to our family, building our home, video games (duh), college stuff, friends, family, CHAOS. And that’s that. I’ve barely touched my site, the computer, or checked my email. So I had a lot of emails to go through, some spam, some not. It’s a little late to write people back now, but I did anyway. I just hope you guys can forgive me. And if not? Well … family comes first and I’m sorry—that’s all I can say.

As you can see, I’ve returned with a new layout called Velvet. It’s meant to be simple and clean, nothing too fancy, soft colors and easy on the eyes. It’s been a long time since I’ve made a new brush set and I’ve got one in the works. Check back for that if you’re interested.

Who’s the new addition to our family? My husband got me a dog, kind of as a late anniversary gift, but more so because I really wanted one and he’d be great to have in our home. We absolutely love him. We adopted him from another military couple here on island; they were moving and could not keep him, I guess. Rosco’s adjusted to his new home and family quite nicely. Honestly, I don’t know I got along without him. He’s got a great personality, loves to play and wants to bite all strange men in their stupid faces. Best. dog. ever.
